SINGAPORE CHILLI CRAB from Ban Leong Wah Hoe Seafood 


Singapore Famous Cuisine, where everyone tourist will confirm come to eat this before heading back. Ban Leong Wah Hoe highly recommend this to all customers. This is not because they can earn money from it. This is really very big and delicious. They only sell crabs above 1.5kg. They crab meat is juicy. It is a must to dip the Fried Man Tou into the chilli crab sauce.  Take a close look at the Claw, this is even bigger than the plate. 

All the dishes below are highly recommended by Ban Leong Wah Hoe Chef.


Birthday Longevity Noodles. This is worth for sharing. The portion is big and they are generous in ingredients.









Calling for Clams lover, the meat of the clams is juicy and sweet.

Remember to eat this while it's hot. 









Ha Cheong Gai is my favorite dish. It is a must for me to order this. I love it to the max. They marinated the Ha Cheong Gai very well; the shrimp taste mix is fantastic.

Black pepper crab
This is also one of our Singapore dish. For those who love spicy. You can definitely order this. This is always recommended by crab lover.

TUK WAN KITCHEN 

Tuk Wan mean EveryONE!!! Everyone must try their Thai Food!


Nowdays, Singapore have a lot of Thai Restaurant. ONE more additional thai restaurant to be added into the list. I'm a Thai food lover especially Grilled Pork. Grilled Pork only sell in Thailand, this is their street food. 10 baht for each in Thailand. I miss it so much since my last visit to Thailand 2 years ago. When i see this in their menu, i'm super excited.

As usual, they serve most of the similar dishes compare to other Thai Restaurant. However, they uses good quality ingredients and they hired Thai Chef to prepare the food for us. Is it Awesome!!!

FRIED FISH WITH SWEET, SOUR AND SPICY SAUCE



PINEAPPLE FRIED RICE WITH CASHEW NUTS 

Unique fried rice that served with cashew nuts. 


Simple and nice vegetable


OLIVE FRIED RICE

I love it so much, this is super nice. This is different from other fried rice that are served in Thai Restaurant. 

GRILLED PORK!!! I love it so much. This is a must to order.


Tom yam seafood soup


RED RUBY! Chestnut in small cubes. This is my favorite dessert.


MANGO STICKY RICE - WARM AND SWEET. CANNOT STOP EATING!!!


They bring in food from Thailand every week. Every thing in the restaurant is from Thailand.
Soft drink in bottle is unique right. This is imported from Thailand.

FIRST GENERATION - 鲜一代



Original taste of Seafood soup, unique and delicious. Impression of seafood soup to everyone is simple soup base with a few seafood such as prawn, fish, tomato, tofu and vegetable. First generation seafood soup is more than what we thought of. Have a look at their stall at BUKIT TIMAH market and food centre. Bukit Timah food centre is a food treasure place to hunt for food.


Their soup base uses flower crab to boost the taste and smell. All seafood soup uses the same soup base. Different ingredients added in to give a unique taste and seafood aroma. Highly recommend for scallop or lobster. Their soup base is strong in flavor. I love soup that are intense in flavor.

Hong Kong egg tarts

I'm in love with egg tarts. This is the reason why I started to try out baking Hong Kong egg tarts from the scratch. Everyone ask why I make my own crust for the egg tart shell. I replied them, learning always starts from the basic. I discovered the different stages of flaky egg tart shell is due to the amount of butter. Whenever I go for dim sum, egg tarts is always the first to order. Egg tarts is very simple to bake. You just have to find the right recipe.



Let's start our lesson for today. Prepare all the important ingredients and tools for baking.
- Aluminum egg tart shell
- 2L cups to contain the egg filling mixture

Ingredients

Crust
  • 200 grams - All purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon - Salt
  • 1 tablespoon - Sugar
  • 200 grams - Unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoon - Cold water
Egg fillings
  • 3 - eggs
  • 1 cup - Hot water
  • 1/2 cup - Evaporated milk
  • 3/4 teaspoon - Vanilla essence
1. Prepare the crust. In a mixing bowl, pour in the flour, salt, sugar. Add in butter, add cold water to bring the dough together. Cover the dough and refrigerate for 20 minutes.

2. After 20 minutes, take the dough out and place it onto the floured board. Roll the dough and cover it. Chill for 30 minutes.

3. Prepare the egg filling while waiting for the dough. Dissolve the sugar in hot water and allow it to cool to room temperature. Mix the eggs and evaporated milk together and add in sugar water and vanilla. 

4. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes. Prepare the dough on the aluminum egg shell. Fill the 3/4 egg filling into the shell. Bake at 180 degree Celsius for 15 to 20 minutes.

Allow the egg tarts to cool and enjoy while hot. Cheers!

The Mind Cafe@ Prinsep Street

Great day at The Mind Cafe @ Prinsep Street, we enjoyed ourselves with different types of games. I have never thought of playing board game can so interactive and fun. OMG!!! I'm totally addicted. I'm gonna bring family and friends to try out one day. Away from smartphone and tablet. Sometimes i think smartphone and tablet breaks our family/friends bonding. We really need some precious time together, just like this. Play board game, joke around and laugh out loud throughout the game.

They do served bites and beverages if you feel hungry while playing. Take a look at the food below. Looks delicious right!!!

They have limited seats, so do make reservation before going. Look at the shelves, full of board game. Their staffs will explain to you the game if you need help. Do approach them, they are friendly and nice.

Symmetry Cafe

There are really loads of Cafe in Bugis. Every cafe are unique and special. This time round we cafe hopping to Symmetry Cafe at Jalan Kubor. Cosy and comfortable place for couples and family. We went on a Monday Night, less crowded. Monday night cocktails is 1 for 1. Isn't it great! We ordered Tiger Prawn & Scallop Canelloni for our main dish and Cheesy Crab & Corn Croquette. I'm a picture person. I like to see picture to place my order. So i took super long to make my decision.

They served fruits as the appetizer for customers. I like it especially for a humid weather in singapore. Cocktails is 1 for 1. Unique cup for cocktails.

First visit to Populus Coffee & Food Co. Cafe with Friend. The Cafe is small but cozy. All their waiters are very attentive and friendly. Limited selection of food on menu.
Unique about this cafe is the food they served. I find their food very different from other cafe. Pictures speaks a thousand words. Have a look for yourself.

Have a look at their menu. Look closely at the menu, they allow you to add extra toppings to your dishes. It just like DIY your own food.

We went on a Sunday afternoon. Full of people and we have to wait for 45 mins for the seats. I went to this website to make reservation just 30 mins ago. Immediately after making reservation, i went into the cafe and ask the waiter. Hooray!! We got the seats 15 mins later.

We ordered Lemon and Chocolate Sundae Top up with Waffles. This cost us 19 dollars. I love it so much. The Soft Serve ice cream really damn awesome. Waffles and ice cream serves with Lemon jelly and flowers.

Their customer service were excellent. Everyone might thought celebrity chef restaurant is pricey. This is totally wrong impression. This is a Art of Chinese Fine Dining restaurant. They served Spring and Summer set for per person. Price is reasonable and affordable. The presentation for each and individual dishes really awesome. Every dishes served right after you finish, they will keep a look out at every of their customers.
  

We ordered spring and summer set. Both is equally good.
  
First two dishes is their appetizer, salad.
   
Summer set comes with fish as their second dish.

Main dish is noodles.
